My name is Cambre Napier and I am the founder of Curve Network KC. I started my career in the modeling industry as a teenager when I went through the John Casablanca Modeling academy at 16 years old. Although life decisions strayed me in another direction, I always knew that modeling was my passion. Therefore, after many years I decided to start modeling again. I have been modeling locally in Kansas City for the last three years now. I started Curve Network KC because I believe that modeling is for ALL shapes and sizes. I wanted to create a platform and a networking group for local Curve Plus Size, and Brawn Models in our industry. This group will help guide inspiring Curve Models in the right direction.
I Started modeling in 2016 for a small boutique called Plus Appeal.
After, I ventured to St. Louis where I modeled for numerous boutiques and designers; One in particular was Qrystal Frazier of Qrystal Frazier designs. She made a name for herself in the NY fashion scene and she was MY first big name designer! After being there for a year I decided to try my hand at Kansas City Fashion week in 2017 and I have made that runway for the past nine seasons.
I have Modeled for celebrity designers like Rachel Roy and Jaxson Wyatt. I knew Kansas City was where I wanted and needed to be to further my modeling career. 79Roze took a chance on me. This local boutique in Kansas City made me one of their official Models! Here in Kansas City I have also been able to fill my resume and portfolio with several runway shows. I have been a Model Mentor for Fashion Honors Autism. I've walked for Paige Lebowski for the West 18th Street Fashion Show, and various other local runway shows. I am so honored and proud.
Being in the Modeling Industry has allowed me to travel to many beautiful places. I’ve been in LA fashion week for Society Fashion Week. I modeled for Shalaja’s Swimwear. I have walked in Full Figured Fierce in Alabama, and I’ve traveled to Paris, France to walk for Sasha Walton of House of Solana in the Fashion Week Official Studios Production. I love modeling and everything that comes with it, networking, meeting new people, and just mentoring those who are just starting. Cheers to the acceptance of the Curvy and Beautiful, that is YOU!
